Windsor Committal Service Park and Walk - Review Ground Parking

 

We expect thousands of visitors will come to Windsor to pay their respects to Her Majesty The Queen as she makes her final journey to be laid to rest in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.  Road closures will be in operation around Windsor throughout the day and car parks in central Windsor will be closed.  Parking must be pre-booked, no one will be able to pay on the day or be admitted without a parking pass. 

Walking routes will be signposted, but the ground may be uneven in parts The viewing areas on the Long Walk are available on a first come first served basis.  Screens will be on the Long Walk to allow those present to watch the broadcast of the funeral from Westminster Abbey and the Committal Service at St Georges Chapel.  Welfare facilities will be available on the Long Walk but visitors are reminded that the area is standing room only. 

To access the car park please use M4 junction 6 and follow the directional signed with the route marked as “RG”.

Please print off your parking pass and have it to hand when arriving on the day.

Blue badge holders are exempt from charges.
A limited number of DDA compliant buggies will be available to transport people with physical and mobility impairment to the designated viewing areas.  Full Ts & Cs below.
