Windsor Town Guided Walk

Tour
2:00 pm Saturday, 30 September 2023

The town of Windsor has over 1,000 years of history.

Come on a Guided Town Walk with Blue Badge Tourist Guide Debbie Keenan and find out more about our lovely historical town.

Starting from Windsor’s iconic Guildhall, Debbie will take you through the centuries, talking about the history of the town with the building of the castle and its impact on the future of the town. We will venture into the area which was where the Mediaeval market was situated, leading out onto St Alban’s Street past the Royal Mews. Beautiful Georgian Park Street takes us into Windsor Great Park and the Long Walk according good views of the private State Rooms of the castle.

We will then walk back up the High Street past the Parish church of St John the Baptist and finish at Queen Victoria’s Statue on Castle Hill after stops at Windsor’s famous ‘Crooked House’ and Queen Charlotte Street.

The walk will take approximately 50 minutes and can be booked online at Windsor.gov.uk or at the Royal Windsor Information Centre inside the Windsor Guildhall.

Please meet at the Information Centre (Windsor Guildhall) five minutes before the advertised start time of the walk.
