How to book
Windsor Castle Tickets via VisitWindsor Concierge Service
- Book the required number of adult, young person and child tickets (please note under 5s are free)
- Print off your voucher
- All vouchers must be signed by a member of staff
- Each voucher has a unique reference number which will be used to invoice you. Please make a note of this number for your records and assign it to the individual guest
- Inform guests that they should present the printed voucher at Windsor Castle's admission centre situated at the top of Castle Hill, SL4 1NJ.
- Please note this voucher is for Castle entry only and does not include any specialist tours, eg Conquer the Tower or Great Kitchen, or anything that attracts an additional charge
- All terms and conditions previously agreed apply
- These vouchers cannot be converted into a Royal Collection 1-Year Pass
- Please complete one order at a time. (If you have two orders for two tickets each, and process them at the same time you will receive a single confirmation for four tickets.)
What days can my guests visit Windsor Castle?
Windsor Castle is
open Thursday to Monday* (closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Entry times for tickets purchased via the VisitWindsor Concierge Service
- Tickets are available for entry on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between
12:00 and 14:30 (30-minutes timeslots) September - March, and between 12:00 and 15:30 (30-minutes timeslots) April - August.
- Tickets are available for entry on Sundays between 10:00 and 14:30 (30-minutes
timeslots) September - March, and between 12:00 and 15:30 (30-minutes timeslots) April - August.
- Partners must book their guests into time slots in advance of their visit.
In order to track numbers in advance, tickets will come off sale at 12:00 (noon) on the day before the date of visit.
- A typical visit lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours.
*Please note
Windsor Castle is open to visitors on Sundays but St George's Chapel is NOT
open on Sundays due to services. Please
ensure your guests are aware they will NOT be able to enter St George's Chapel
on a Sunday.
Worshippers are
welcome to attend Sunday services. These generally occur at the following
times: 08:30 (Holy Communion), 10:45 (Mattins and Sermon), 12:00 (Sung
Eucharist) and 17:15 (Evensong).

Provisional and last-minute closures of Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle is
an official residence of The King and a working palace and may be subject to
closure at short notice.

What can my guests see on a visit to Windsor Castle?
- State Apartments
- Semi-State Rooms (autumn to spring only; five rooms open at no extra charge to visitors. The Semi-State Rooms are not open on days when the State Apartments are closed)
- Queen Mary's Dolls' House
- St George's Chapel (closed to visitors on Sundays but open to worshippers attending scheduled services)
- The Changing the Guard ceremony on specific days of the week (check guard change schedule here)
- The Precincts (the Castle's outside areas)
- Windsor Castle shops and Undercroft Café.
How do I book tickets for guests with specific access requirements?
Royal Collection Trust welcomes visitors who are wheelchair
users or have other specific access requirements. Architectural limitations
mean that such visitors may however be required to use a specially designated
access routes. Health and safety requirements mean that in certain residences
the number of such visitors at any one time is limited. You are not permitted
to book FIT Admissions for visitors with special access requirements and are
therefore responsible for notifying these visitors to book directly with the Royal Collection Trust. Complimentary carer or access companion spaces are
not available on tickets booked through you, though they may be purchased
directly by customers from Royal Collection Trust. You are responsible for
clearly advertising this and advising your clients of this policy prior to
their visit.
