Coronation Concert Ballot

to Royal Collection Trust / © His Majesty King Charles III 2023

Up to 500 pairs of free tickets reserved for Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead residents to attend the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle are up for grabs – and people can now enter a special ballot to stand a chance of going.

The council has secured this reserved local allocation from event organiser, the BBC, to ensure that as many local residents as possible can be involved in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration on Sunday 7 May – the day after the Coronation itself.

The concert within the Castle grounds on the East Lawn will see a world-class orchestra play interpretations of musical favourites fronted by fantastic entertainers, alongside performers from the world of dance and the arts.

If you have a residential address in the Royal Borough, simply register below and complete the form by 11.59pm on Tuesday 28 February. Once this special ballot closes, winners will be chosen at random from the entrants.

By entering, you give consent to your details being passed to the BBC and Ticketmaster, who will advise the winners, send tickets and event information during March and April. This local ballot runs alongside the national ballot, offering 5,000 pairs of tickets to the public across the UK.

Broadcast live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and supported across the entire BBC network, 'The Coronation Concert' will bring together music icons and contemporary stars in celebration of this historic occasion.

Attended by a public audience including volunteers from The King and The Queen Consort's many charity affiliations, the concert will see a world-class orchestra play interpretations of musical favourites fronted by fantastic entertainers, alongside performers from the world of dance and the arts. The performances will be supported by staging and effects located on the Castle's East Lawn and will also feature a selection of spoken word sequences delivered by stars of stage and screen.

The Coronation Concert will be produced by BBC Studios, broadcast live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.

These tickets are only available to Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead residents. Anyone wishing to enter the ballot who is not an RBWM resident should do so through the main national ballot here. Any entrants from without RBWM will not be accepted.

The 500 pairs of free tickets are NOT being allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so there is as much chance of being selected if an application is made on the 20th February 2023 as on the 28th February 2023.
