The Wednesday tends to be a more gently-paced occasion than the opening day of the Royal Meeting, yet there is no compromise on quality in terms of both the racing and the enjoyment away from the track.
In addition to The Prince of Wales’s Stakes, so memorably won by the gallant Crystal Ocean and Frankie Dettori in 2019, the card also features three Group 2 races – The Queen Mary Stakes, The Queen’s Vase and The Duke of Cambridge Stakes. Completing proceedings is the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes and The Royal Hunt Cup, a Heritage Handicap and often one of the biggest betting contests of the entire week.
