The Week's Fitting Finale.

Amidst the unique whirlwind of excitement and colour that makes Royal Ascot so special, an exceptional card featuring the £1m Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, one of the world’s greatest international sprints, ensures a fitting finale to an unforgettable week.

Falling on a Saturday, the atmosphere on the final day is unquestionably more relaxed, yet there is certainly no let-up when it comes to the quality of racing.

2020 saw history in the making as Nando Parrado and Adam Kirby became the biggest-priced Royal Ascot winners, with a 150-1 shot for trainer Clive Cox in The Coventry Stakes, a race usually staged on the Tuesday of the Royal Meeting.

In 2019 the day belonged to Blue Point, who became the first horse since Choisir in 2003 to win two races at Royal Ascot in the same year. Having stormed home to defeat Baattash in Tuesday’s King’s Stand Stakes, the brilliant five-year-old fought doggedly to overcome his rivals and claim the Group 1 sprint-double in a sensational The Diamond Jubilee Stakes.

With a top supporting card including the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes and The Queen Alexandra Stakes, the longest race of the British Flat season, there is plenty to enthral racegoers and ensure that Royal Ascot comes to a glorious close.
