Royal Ascot

There are few sporting venues that can match the rich heritage and history of Ascot Racecourse. For almost 250 years, Royal Ascot has established itself as a national institution and the centrepiece of the British social calender as well as being the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world.

Tradition, pageantry, fashion and style all meet in a glorious setting at one of the most beautiful racecourses in the country. The quality of the racing at Royal Ascot is simply outstanding, with £6.58 million in prize money on offer and a total of eighteen ‘Group’ races (racing’s term for the most prestigious races) over the five days.

Each day follows the same format with The Royal Procession making its way from the Golden Gates, along the racecourse and into the Parade Ring from 2.00pm each afternoon. The first race of six each day is at 2.30pm and the last race is at 5.35pm, after which racegoers are invited to celebrate their winnings as they sing traditional favourites, and a few new ones, around the bandstand.

Queen Anne Enclosure / Grandstand admission

With the Queen Anne Enclosure / Grandstand Admission you can smell the turf and see the whites of the eyes of the competitors, it's the top ticket at ground level.

There are up to 1,000 seats and several big screens to catch the key moments while the pre-Parade Ring, Parade Ring and track are all within short walking distance. There's musical entertainment before and after the racing, too, including a traditional sing-along at the bandstand after the last race.

To add to the occasion, there's a dress code in place this year; suit, shirt and ties for the boys and head wear and formal dresses for the girls. Dress to impress!

Windsor Enclosure / Silver Ring

The Windsor Enclosure / Silver Ring provides an excellent vantage point to watch the Royal Procession and racing action and features a less formal atmosphere (there is no formal dress code).

There are over 2,000 seats available, live music each day and a lawned area with a variety of bars and food outlets.
